Regents candidates, Coleman to speak
The Senate Assembly and Senate Advisory Committee on University Affairs (SACUA) will host a public forum Oct. 14 at Hale Auditorium featuring the 10 candidates running for the Board of Regents.
At 3:15 p.m., President Mary Sue Coleman will make her first address to the Senate Assembly. The regents candidates will have a chance to articulate their positions on issues. Members of the campus community will have an opportunity to ask questions.
Candidates vying for two open regent positions in the November election are: incumbent Andrea Fischer Newman, RAnn Arbor; Ismael Ahmed, DDearborn; David Arndt, Natural Law PartyAnn Arbor; Susan Fawcett, Green PartyPetoskey; Rick Gualdoni, U.S. Taxpayers PartyFlint; William Hall, LibertarianRockford; Matt Petering, Green PartyAnn Arbor; Andrew C. Richner, RGrosse Pointe Park; Greg Stephens, DSaline; and Nick Waun, RLapeer.
