events will commemorate Sept. 11 anniversary
U-M will will commemorate Sept. 11 anniversary U-M will commemorate
the anniversary of Sept. 11 with a day-long series of events, including
an appearance by Lt. Gen. Brent Scowcroft, the dedication of a plaque
for the 18 alumni who died in the terrorist attacks, and culminating
in a student-organized candlelight vigil. The events are free and

Mary Sue Coleman at ease and in charge
On campus since early August, U-M's 13th president Mary Sue Coleman
has met with many people already about a number of issues, including
the life sciences, the Ed Martin investigation, the admissions lawsuits,
the budget and executive leadership vacancies. Recently she met
with the Record to talk about her first few weeks on campus. More>
