The School of Art & Design exhibition The Studio and The Lab will be presented Sept. 7-Oct. 5 at Work, 306 S. State. Artists today engage in scientific discourse, and science research extends into artistic terrains. This show raises questions about boundaries between the two. Images include, at top, polyhedral models by George Hart, engineering graduate student, and below, a piece by Michael Flynn, professor in nuclear engineering, which exploress creative uses for ferrofluid which changes shape in response to changes in magnetic fields.
