Graduate student teaching orientation

The Center for Research on Learning and Teaching (CRLT) will provide an intensive teaching orientation program for new, returning and future Graduate Student Instructors (GSIs). The event provides an opportunity to gain teaching skills, make connections with other GSIs, allay fears concerning teaching and learn about helpful CRLT resources. The orientation is from 1-4:30 p.m. Aug. 29 and 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Aug. 30. For more information and to register go to www.crlt.umich.edu/gsis/gsio.php.

Memorial set for Emeritus Professor John Allen

A memorial celebration of the life of Emeritus Professor of Biology John Morgan Allen will be held at 4 p.m. Aug. 22 in the auditorium of the Matthaei Botanical Gardens, 1800 N. MHealthy in Wolverine Tower

MHealthy, which offers wellness and health risk reduction services for U-M faculty and staff, dependents and retirees, has moved administrative offices to 2060 Wolverine Tower, 3003 S. State St. at Eisenhower Parkway, less than a mile from its previous location on South Industrial. The new office phone is 734-647-7888, and the new fax number is 734-764-0292.
