Elected

Joel Blum, the John D. MacArthur Professor of Earth and Environmental Sciences, and James Slavin, professor of space science and chair of the Department of Atmospheric, Oceanic and Space Sciences, have been elected 2012 Fellows of the American Geophysical Union. The AGU is a not-for-profit, professional scientific organization with more than 60,000 members in more than 148 countries.

Vivek Sankaran, a clinical assistant professor of law in the Child Advocacy Law Clinic at the Law School, on the greatest influence on his career path: "The children who I represented in D.C. who taught me about the importance of child welfare law."
