The Center for the Education of Women announces the Carol Hollenshead Award for Excellence in Promoting Equity and Social Change. Designed to honor U-M staff, students or faculty members whose sustained efforts have resulted in greater equity on campus, the first award will be given this fall. Nominees may be individuals or groups who have addressed inequities in the university community or beyond. Nomination criteria and forms are at www.cew.umich.edu and are due Sept. 16.
The Office of Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs and Trotter Multicultral Center recently received the Cultural Diversity Award from the Michigan College Personnel Association at a Diversity Summit hosted by U-M. The Cultural Diversity Award is presented yearly to an individual, program or organization that has exhibited innovative practices for student learning in the area of cultural diversity, creating a significant impact in student affairs.
