Dr. Christine C. Nelson, professor of ophthalmology and visual sciences, and professor of surgery, Medical School, recently won the Wendell L. Hughes Lecture Award from the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She is the first female recipient of the award. Nelson is known for her clinical and surgical practice, and her research.
