The Work/Life Resource Center recently announced recipients of the third annual Work/Life Champion Award for Supervisors. They are Patricia Wittkopp, associate professor, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology; Gloria Thomas, director, Center for the Education of Women; David Stockson, manager of Architectural Services;
Dr. Dennis Lopatin, senior associate dean, School of Dentistry; Julie Juno, manager, Clinical Nursing, C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit; Bob Harris, director, U-M Health System Facilities Planning and Development; Mary Jo Desprez, director, Health Promotion Community Relations; Mickey Doyle, associate librarian, UM-Flint Thompson Library; Grace Brand, manager, Clinical Nursing, Mott Hospital; Debbie Apsley, director, Human Resources and Business Affairs, School of Information.
John C. Burkhardt, director of the National Center for Institutional Diversity and clinical professor of education, School of Education, was scheduled this month to receive the Tomas Arciniega Animo Leadership Award. Award recipients must demonstrate spirit, courage and commitment in improving the lives of people, communities and Latino/a students as they aspire towards academic success under challenging circumstances.
