Magazine ranks C.S. Mott Children's Hospital among nation's best
U.S. News & World Report ranks C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital among the best pediatric hospitals in the nation. Also, the U-M facility is the only hospital in the state to be nationally ranked in eight of the 10 pediatric specialty areas featured in the 2009 edition of “America’s Best Children’s Hospitals.”

Venture capital fund run by students investing in wind energy developer
Accio Energy, the Ann Arbor-based developer of an innovative wind energy system, will receive $80,000 in seed money from the Frankel Commercialization Fund, a student-managed venture capital seed fund at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business. It is the fund's first investment in renewable energy.

Study shows innovative economic activity down in Michigan
As national business leaders wrapped up a discussion of how to improve innovation and competitiveness at The National Summit in Detroit on Wednesday, a U-M Dearborn report illustrates the topic’s urgency. Innovative economic activity in Michigan declined by 13.5 percent during the fourth quarter of 2008.
