Law School establishes joint center with institution in India
A recently signed Memorandum of Understanding between the Law School and Jindal Global Law School of O.P. Jindal Global University in India establishes a Joint Centre for Global Corporate and Financial Law & Policy, and opens the door for future cooperative efforts between the two schools.

Applications sought for Road Scholars Tour
U-M instructional, research and clinical track faculty are invited to apply for consideration to be part of the 2011 Michigan Road Scholars Tour. The five-day tour is designed to increase mutual knowledge and understanding between the university and the people and communities of the state.

REMINDER: Deadline is Friday for Distinguished University Innovator nominations
The Office of the Vice President for Research is accepting nominations for the 2011 Distinguished University Innovator Award. Any member of the university community may nominate a tenured, tenure-track or research faculty member, or a team of up to three individuals led by such faculty member. The nominating deadline is Friday.

Message to middle schoolers
With approximately one-third of smokers taking up the habit before the age of 14, anti-smoking proponents are focusing their preventive message at a younger audience. In that spirit, the College of Pharmacy's American Pharmacists Association — Academy of Student Pharmacists Tobacco Cessation Committee has been making presentations at Ann Arbor Public School's Clague Middle School and the visits now are part of Clague's health class curriculum.
