Professors contribute to White House report on U.S. energy system
Rosina Bierbaum, dean of the School of Natural Resources and Environment, and Dennis Assanis, director of the Michigan Memorial Phoenix Energy Institute, contributed to a White House report that provides a roadmap for the federal government's role in transforming the U.S. energy system within one to two decades.

U-M hospitals win award for being among the nation’s safest
The U-M Hospitals and Health Centers are among the safest and most effective hospitals in the country, according to a new national ranking from the Leapfrog Group. UMHHC is among 65 institutions named 2010 Leapfrog Top Hospitals, based on a rating system that provides a detailed assessment of a hospital’s safety and quality.

Big House ice rink to host fundraiser for transplant recipient camp
A week before U-M faces off against Michigan State in the "Big Chill at the Big House," the temporary ice rink at Michigan Stadium will host a fundraiser for the U-M Transplant Center's Camp Michitanki. “Little Chill at the Big House” will feature two games between amateur and AAA hockey teams beginning at noon Sunday.

Creating the Cleveland Clinic (East)
Jenny Ho, MPH and MHSA, '00, has worked in Abu Dhabi since 2009 to help build the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi into a fully functioning, 364-bed hospital and clinic. As one of several project managers for the clinic, Ho is helping to develop policies and procedures in the areas of human relations and marketing and communications, and to draft and implement a staffing plan for the facility at large — everything from facilities workers to nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals.
