Experts discuss uprisings in Middle East at round-table program
U-M scholars addressed tensions in the Middle East that have led to widespread unrest and political instability, and offered criticism of the U.S. media's coverage of those events in Egypt, Tunisia and other countries, during a program Monday.

Grant will enable new postdoctoral training in public policy, education
A federal grant will fund a new postdoctoral training program at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy and School of Education, providing fellows with rigorous training in the education research sciences. The program will train five postdoctoral students, each for a two-year fellowship.

UM-Dearborn program to provide enrichment experiences for foster children
The Save Our Children Coalition, a project of UM-Dearborn’s School of Education, has received a federal grant to continue the expansion and development of a program that provides Detroit foster youth with enrichment experiences, which build academic and life skills and productive habits of mind.
