UMHHC receives top environmental award for sixth straight year
For the sixth consecutive year, the U-M Hospitals and Health Centers has received the Environmental Leadership Circle Award from Practice Greenhealth, a national membership organization of health care facilities committed to environmentally responsible operations.

Men's Glee Club embarks on two-week China tour
The U-M Men’s Glee Club is on a 15-day, five-concert tour through China, performing in Beijing, Xian, Chongqing, Wuhan and Shanghai. The tour includes 10 alumni, former Glee Club members from the 1950s through 1970s, who will perform with the group in Wuhan and Shanghai.

Health-minded employees sought to become MHealthy Champions
MHealthy now is recruiting new members for its MHealthy Champions program (formerly Wellness Champions). Champions are staff and faculty volunteers who help to create a culture of health within their work areas. The deadline to apply is May 11.

Design for social change
A partnership between the School of Art & Design and a community school in the Brightmoor neighborhood of Detroit could become the blueprint for more collaboration. This partnership created projects such as a mobile pizza oven and solar-powered bicycle lights through the conversations, field trips and interactions of Detroit and U-M A&D students.
