Some bus routes to change in fall

The Ann Arbor Transportation Authority discontinued its Link downtown circulator bus route, which connected U-M with downtown businesses and other destinations. University buses will serve the campus portion of the former route, between Central Campus and the Oxford student housing area.

Other new transportation news for the fall includes:

The Oxford service now is split into two services: one for classroom times of the day and the other for non-classroom times ("Oxford Shuttle") during the day, Monday-Friday.

Commuter route service will begin service to the Mott Employee Entrance: southbound at 7:55 p.m., northbound at 8 p.m.

In preparation for the demolition of the Kresge Buildings, Mitchell Glazier and Mitchell Express service will reroute:

• Both routes will reverse course at the Cardiovascular Center roundabout and start their outbound trip on East Medical Center Drive, stopping at the Markley bus stop, then at UH/Taubman, then at Cancer Center roadside on the way back to Fuller Road and points east.

• The bus stop on Zina Pitcher Place at Kresge will no longer be served by Mitchell Glazier or Mitchell Express route buses.

• Passengers wanting to go to Mitchell Field can take the Northwood or Bursley-Bates, which will continue to serve the Kresge bus stop.

• Passengers wanting to go to Glazier Way can go to the Couzens bus stop on Ann Street and take the commuter bus.

Diag-to-Diag Express will start at 10:50 a.m. from the Ruthven Museum and continue every 10 minutes until the 5:30 p.m. departure from Cooley Lab on Bonisteel Boulevard. It also will serve Fletcher Street inbound and outbound (Rackham and Power Center stops), CC Little inbound, and Glen Avenue and Catherine Street outbound to North Campus.
