Rosina Bierbaum, dean of the School of Natural Resources and Environment, has been appointed a fellow at The World Bank under a new program to bring new expertise to the bank’s development work. Bierbaum co-directed the bank’s 2010 World Development Report, which focused on climate change. As a fellow, she will work with the bank’s climate change team to develop screening tools for lending operations in low-income countries.



Kim Smith, clinical nurse II, East Ann Arbor Health and Geriatric Center, on installing rain collecting systems: “The expression on people’s faces when you are giving them the gift of water … has been priceless.”
