Regents meeting May 19

The Board of Regents will have its monthly meeting at 3 p.m. May 19 at the UM-Dearborn Fairlane Center, 19000 Hubbard Drive. To offer public comment at the meeting, sign up in advance at www.regents.umich.edu/meetings/publform.html. Public comments on agenda items will be taken prior to their consideration. Comments on nonagenda items will follow the regular business agenda. People with disabilities who need assistance should contact the Office of the Vice President and Secretary of the University in advance at 734-764-3883. E-waste recycling planned for this week

Area residents, small businesses and nonprofits can dispose of electronics in an earth-friendly way at the Fourth Annual E-waste Recycling Event. All equipment is destroyed and recycled in an environmentally sound manner by a permitted recycling facility. The general public is invited from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at Pioneer High School. Local businesses and nonprofit organizations are invited from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the U-M Tennis & Gymnastics Parking Lot. Pre-register at michigan.poweron.com/p/register.
