Burglary reported at Schembechler Hall

A staff person reported April 29 that an exterior office window at Schembechler Hall had been broken and an iPad computer was missing. The incident reportedly occurred between 8:35 p.m. April 27 and 11:30 a.m. April 28. There are no suspects at this time.

Incident at Chemistry Building closed

The investigation into the April 3 report of a “man with a gun” at the Chemistry Building has been closed. Investigators with the Department of Public Safety re-interviewed the original witness, sought other witnesses but found none, and followed up a few leads provided by others outside the building. No one with a gun or matching the original description was found.

Contractor’s vehicle strikes manager

A contract construction manager reported that on April 12 he was involved in a dispute with another worker near their Washington Heights construction area. When the worker left the area, his truck mirror struck the victim causing him to seek medical attention. The investigation is pending.
