Faculty members elected to DPS Oversight Committee

David A. Moran, clinical professor of law, and Richard D. Friedman, Alene and Allan F. Smith Professor of Law, have been elected to the Department of Public Safety (DPS) Oversight Committee to two-year terms, which began April 1. The independent committee addresses grievances and complaints by persons against DPS police officers or the department. Moran is the non-Senate faculty representative and Friedman is the representative elected by the faculty Senate. For more information, go to hr.umich.edu/dps/index.html.

Women’s Golf Club Opens Season

The University Women’s Golf Club (UWGC) opens its season April 17 at the University of Michigan Golf Course. There will be the annual spring meeting at 8 a.m. and then a scramble mixer, weather permitting. The club plays both nine and 18 holes every Tuesday morning and nine holes every Tuesday evening April through September.
